YOUR FAMILY REUNION PLACE:
sleep 26, use large kitchen facility and have all meals here in the large gathering room. Bring kids, maybe a dog or two. Special rate for two or three or more days and all 7 rooms occupied.
Black Canyon of the Gunnison
This beautiful country inn is centrally located in
Southwest Colorado between the San Juan mountain range and the Grand Mesa. An historic building, it has been remodeled
into a large white mansion with 8 lovely guest rooms, each with a private bath
and all on the main floor. A handicap
room near the rear wheelchair ramp serves physically challenged people.
A 5-1/2 minute drive south of Montrose on Rte 550 will get
you to the Point of Interest and Uncompahgre Rd. where you turn East. (Left)
The Inn is the second property, well lit up at night; park in the off street
parking area,(lots of room for large
RVs or trailers).
The 1500 square ft. gathering room serves as our dining
and living room with a hardwood dance floor and a fireplace. On occasion, we serve dinner parties from
our commercial kitchen.
Guests generally plan to stay 3 or 4 days to see all the
sites and do all the activities in the area.
We will be happy to customize an itinerary for you according to the
season and available sites. The Black
Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is nearby, and there is much more.
Our
two beautiful dogs, Tanner (M), and Gypsy (F) stay in our quarters during the winter or their large play
yard the rest of the year. You may bring your house-trained doggie, but obviously no cats.
